It feels like it's been a while since I've done a regular news post. I guess the last 3 posts were kind of random, as I was still getting used to blogging regularly. I shall now be writing my first news post in over 2 months, using the same style I used once back in January. But before I get started, I'd just like to show you guys the cover for Album 57 (though you've probably already seen it, since it's been out for about a week) before I forget and it gets too late.

Hello, I'm Alex Jefferson, coming at you live from... An organization. I would tell you what this organization is called, but unfortunately... we don't know. Not entirely, that is. Apparently the title has two words, and we have received word that one of them (the 2nd one) is "More", but no one will tell us what the first word is. So, as is tradition at this station, we will simply refer to the 1st word as "Something". However, as it bothers me to refer to a distinguished organization as "Something More", I will try to discover the actual 1st word. So, I will call then and ask what the 1st word of their organization is. I will, in a manner of speaking, make "A Call To Something More". And it's interesting I should be doing this right now, because "A Call To Something More" is also the one thing that is in the minds of AIO fans everywhere.
Album 57, "A Call To Something More" looks as if it might be the best AIO album since "The Best Small Town". The title seems to suggest AIO will be taking a more serious approach to making episodes (not that they weren't serious before, but you know what I mean) as opposed to the often comedic approach of the past several albums. The episode that's getting fans most excited is the three-parter "Life Expectancy". It looks as if this episode could be a medical drama in the tradition of "A Touch of Healing" and "A New Era", but nothing is known for certain. The cover art appears to be drawn from this episode, as it depicts Connie sitting amongst artifacts from her family life, referencing Bill Kendall's role in the episode. "Life Expectancy" is also the episode Get In the Show! Winner Shona Kennedy will appear in. The episode is written and directed by Paul McCusker, and is expected to be broadcasted this fall, with the rest of album 57. Another episode announced for this album is "The Friend Formula". This is a one-parter written and directed by Bob Hoose, and, as far as we can tell, it will be a slice of life show with Olivia, Barrett, and Jay. Album 57 looks like it could be a very exciting album, and I myself can't wait for it.
Anyway, I can't seem to get through to "Something More", so I'll try again later. Until next time, I'm Alex Jefferson, and -- wait! They're finally calling me back! (Pause as I listen to the phone) Okay. Apparently the first word of the organization is "Listen". "Listen More" is an organization advocating for people to listen to Christian radio dramas more. But they'll never succeed. Everyone knows any type of radio drama is too old-fashioned for our modern world... Television and video games are much healthier for the ears. Hopefully I'll have some more Album 56 reviews out soon. For now, one of my main priorities is the 100 Greatest AIO Episodes List, which I've been working pretty hard on. I might start AlC again if anyone still cares about it, but features like The USS Response might be pretty much over. I hope that post was long and meaty enough for you, and I look forward to writing my next one! Oh, and I forgot to say this earlier, so I guess I'll just say it now -- Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! Though the phrase "Go Green!" Is generally used for the environment, I suppose it can be said on St. Patrick's Day as well.

AIO News 1/5/13
Well, it's a new year, everyone! I'm sorry about the 16 Days of Christmas, I suppose you at least got a few Christmasy posts from me. But, I will now be starting fresh with a new AIC that will most definitely come next week, as well as constant reviews of Album 56. As for the podcast and the USS Response, their fate is now uncertain, as I'm not sure I will be able to run the podcast, and I'm leaving SS tomorrow. But, as I haven't done a news post in a while, I figured it was time to present some... new news. What I mean by new is that I shall be expanding on the idea of Alex Jefferson reporting, and I will put him in different situations each news report that have something to do with the news, just to make news even more fun for readers...
Hello, I'm Alex Jefferson, reporting at you live from the Family Friendly Art Gallery, a delightful establishment run by the illustrious Mr. Glover Gillicudy. Gillicudy is a father of seven children, and a good one at that, but he also is a huge painting enthusiast. In particular, he loves portraits of other famous families. He says that, "The purpose of me lil' art gallery is to educate our youngins' on the importance of hartwork, but present this hartwork in a... family friendly manner." And Mr. Gillicudy seems to be succeeding in this, as many families have flocked to the recently opened gallery: The Washington family, the Barcaly family, the Jacobs family, and many families from the dusted off series known to all AIO fans as Family Portraits. And what better place to announce the release of the original Family Portraits collection than in an art gallery filled to the brim with portraits of families?
Anyway, in case you don't know, the 13 episodes included in the Family Portraits collection were released in 1987 as a pilot series to a bigger drama, a drama we now know as Adventures In Odyssey. And now, for the first time ever, these episodes will be released from the vault and put on Disney DVD - I mean, AIO CD. For more information on Family Portraits, check out Whitsend.org. Well, I officially have over 100 comments on this blog. I thank all of you for responding to my ramblings. Speaking of ramblings, I'm hoping to write some reviews using that site I told you about. I'll keep you posted on that. Anyway, here's the news...

Also, the three finalists for the Get In the Show! contest have been chosen. I won't give them away, but I'll say I was a bit surprised. The reviews of episodes are also flooding in, with three AIO blogs (JAAIOB, The Voice of Odyssey, The Changing Times) reviewing episodes week by week. Other than that, most unofficial blogs are not churning out the number of posts they usually make. This is surprising since the new season just started. Hey, everyone! Not really any news at all today, but I just wanted to say that JAAIOB will have two new pages/features in the near future. (As in, they'll be up by this weekend.) First off, we will be installing a very extensive link page, so you can get a list of every AIO blog/website/podcast out there. It will also include some non-related but related blogs. (Such as Brock Eastman's blog.) This page won't be The Imagination Station, but I'm still hoping I can get as massive of a link page as possible.
The second thing I wanted to say is that JAAIOB will be launching a inside group inspired by TOJ's TNT Insider. This will be called JAAIOB Scoop, and it will be distributed through all AIO MBs. Hello, everyone. It's Labor Day and JAAIOB is celebrating the holiday with... well, news. I know, I know, it's not too exciting, but that's why it's called AIO News! Also, sorry I didn't get the AIC out yesterday, but I promise I'll get it out before this Sunday...

It was a brilliant idea, and Bryce did such an amazing job presenting the awards... Oh, I just can't get over how amazing Bryce and his blog are! Honestly they - Oh, am I complimenting you too much, Bryce? I'm sorry.
Anyway, the Websters were great, particularly those acceptance speeches! In other news, TOJ released a new post that ranks the AIO MBs. He actually picked a winner, so go check out TNT to see which MB won!
Also, Out of Control In Odyssey has started a unique feature entitled The Odyssey Phone Book. It' s quite interesting, so you should check it out at Out of Control In Odyssey!

AIO News 8/29/12
Wow, it's been a while. You guys thought this blog was done for, didn't you? Well, it's not! I'm gonna be back after quite a hiatus in full swing! Sorry I haven't been posting, I was just lazy and busy. There's not much news, but I figured I had to do a post today. Also, I'll start doing a little unofficial news today! Also, expect some changes in my blog soon. I'm considering doing some different things with it. Anyway, I'll give you a little bit of news...
Hello, I'm Alex Jefferson, reporting at you live from The Ceiling Fan Podcast, where Episode 46 was surprisingly released on iTunes, though it's still not up on their website. I just listened to it and loved it! It could be the best Season 4 episode yet, maybe even topping the live show.
And, in other news, Out of Control in Odyssey and TNT are going full steam ahead with their posts. TNT released a new post featuring more unofficial news from The Old Judge, the dedicated reader of nearly every AIO blog out there. And Out of Control in Odyssey has released an excellent review of Taken, the exciting new adventure book by Brock Eastman. Other websites continue to offer more great posts.
And, finally, the Webster ceromondy is being prepared even as I speak, as several AIO webmasters are graciously giving acceptance speeches, some written, some audio, and even a video one. Contributiors include Garret Vandenburg, Ben Warren, David Hilder, Noah and Hallie, and Josh and Ally from Out of Control in Odyssey, as well as the host of the awards, Alex Jefferson.

AIO News 8/24/12
Hello, I'm Alex Jefferson, reporting at you live from FOTF HQ in Colorado Springs, where Album 56 is in the hands of Brock Eastman. I'm eagerly awaiting to get my copy soon. More on that as the story unfolds.
And, in other news, a new Official video Podcast was released with yet another Get in the Show! update. I don't usually give my opinion on news, but I have to say I am honestly becoming quite tired of these constant, almost annoying, Get in the Show! updates. I wonder how many people watch/listen to these podcasts devoted almost entirely to going on and on about Get in the Show! I honestly don't, and I will be glad when this contest has come to an end. It'll be great to hear the winner in Album 58.

Sorry it's so late, but I had to do school and then I focused on a creative writing project I wanted to do, so you could say I forgot about blogging almost entirely. But, there's actually quite a bit of news, so sit back and listen to... AIO News!

AIO News 8/8/12
Oh boy... Yes, I know I have quite a bit of explaining to do, as not only did I not report the news two days ago, I also had no article for you guys yesterday. It was partly procrastination and business, (Yes, I'm a bit of a procrastinator. Sorry.) but I also realized something. I was posting every day, so people didn't have to wait long to read my posts, but the quality was starting to suffer. My article on sagas was pathetic, I realized, and the reason? I was in a rush. I read PF's article, and I read mine. His was a lot better-written and longer, because he took more time to write it. I never want to make the mistakes I made with my articles again. So, starting now, I'm skipping Tuesday altogether and only writing one article a week, on Thursday. This may change later, but for at least a few weeks, nothing on Tuesday. I'm sorry for breaking my promise to do a daily post, but I'm sure you all prefer good, infrequent posts, to rushed posts every day. So yes, I might have been able to post yesterday, but I didn't want to. Well, actually, yesterday was literally spent entirely with my friends, so I didn't really want to sit on the computer while they were at my house. Alright, I'm done with the announcement. It is time... for the news!
Hello, this is Alex Jefferson, coming at you live from Pikes Peake, where The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is about to begin. This may seem unrelated to Adventures in Odyssey, but considering one of the contestants has an AIO-themed car, many would say otherwise! That's right! Jeff McPherson of Bozeman, Montana, is racing in a car that includes the AIO logo! I'm sure most AIO fans will be rooting for him in this historic race. More on that as the story unfolds.
Also, a new Official Podcast that gives the first glimpse of Album 56 as well as an interview with an actor discussing The Labyrinth is out. So definitely check that out as soon as you can.

Hello, this is Alex Jefferson, coming at you live from Pikes Peake, where The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is about to begin. This may seem unrelated to Adventures in Odyssey, but considering one of the contestants has an AIO-themed car, many would say otherwise! That's right! Jeff McPherson of Bozeman, Montana, is racing in a car that includes the AIO logo! I'm sure most AIO fans will be rooting for him in this historic race. More on that as the story unfolds.
Also, a new Official Podcast that gives the first glimpse of Album 56 as well as an interview with an actor discussing The Labyrinth is out. So definitely check that out as soon as you can.

AIO News 8/3/12
I hope you enjoyed yesterday's article. PF did a great job, didn't he? Anyway, it may interest you to know that the 6th Installment of AIC is written, so I should have that up soon. Also, I'm expecting an interview for the next Weekly Feature, and Ep. 1 JAAIOP podcast is in the works, as well as the grand return of The U.S.S. Response. Oh gosh, I'm starting to get busy with this blog! That's another thing I wanted to bring up before I started the news.
As I said in the last few posts, I'm getting busier with my life. For instance, I performed in a play for a few hours today. That's why I'm so late with the news. Also, I'll be starting school and other things, so I'm afraid I want all you readers to brace yourself for less material from JAAIOB and from me in general on AIO message boards. You can all rejoice now, for you won't have to constantly read new posts and U.S.S. Responses and Adventures in Connellsville's and listen to new, dull podcasts all the time! Hello, I'm Alex Jefferson, reporting at you Live From Jason's Dark Side, where Jason has taken over the Campbell County MB and renamed it Jason's Place. As of today I have become a rather large part of the start arc. It's very fun, and there are some crazy things on there, like a program called Mass Mix. So get over there!
Also, The Odyssey Scoop has released a free download of Happy Hunting, an episode from Album 56. I recently listened to it, and I'm very impressed and am expecting great things from Album 56.

AIO News 7/27/12
I'm sorry it took so long, but the rest of the polls are finally up! You can now vote for your favorite AIO site/blog/podcast/podcast episode/post/feature/message board/new site/blog. Whew, that was a mouthful! So make sure to vote in all those polls! Also, I just got back from vacation, so expect some longer articles and longer posts in general.
There have also been rumors of a JAAIOB podcast called JAAIOP. (Just Another AIO Podcast) Well, the rumors are true. A podcast is in the works, but it'll be a while before we air our first episode. I have an idea, some possible co-hosts, and I'll get on the script very soon. (It's partly scripted, partly ad-libbed.) But like I said, it'll be a while before it comes out. I'm expecting a Thanksgiving or Christmas podcast for our first one. But, as I say in reporter form, more on that as the story unfolds. Speaking of reporting, it's time for the news!
